THE GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE
The Stroke Association Support Network-Ghana has is legally constituted and is governed by a non-executive board of directors working through committees and sub-committees.
The Board of Directors-
The Board of the Stroke Association Support network-Ghana is ultimately responsible for the oversight and review of the management, administration and overall governance of the Organization. It is made up of professionals with a variety of skills and expertise who are passionate ambassadors, supporting the organization’s mission and working towards realizing its vision.
The board has a number of sub-committees:
Clinical Advisory Sub-committee – The Stroke Association Support network-Ghana Clinical Council brings together Ghana’s leading clinicians, academics and researchers in the area of stroke. The Council guides the Organization in its policy, service delivery and provides ongoing advice.
Consumer Council Sub-committee – The Stroke Association Support network-Ghana Consumer Council is a board subcommittee that represents the interests and viewpoints of stroke survivors and carers in Ghana and increase the capacity of the Organization to influence debate, policy and service delivery. The council comprises of members who represent stroke survivors and carers across Ghana Research
Advisory Sub-committee Committee –
The Stroke Association Support network- Ghana Research Advisory Sub-committee Committee is a board subcommittee that advises on the strategy underpinning the Research Programme and advises on activities arising from the implementation of the Programme, reviews submissions for grants for the Stroke Association Research Programme, and advises on requests for Stroke Association Supportnetwok-Ghana participation or endorsement of external research programs and projects including partnership grants.
OUR NON-EXECUTIVE BOARD
The board, working with the CEO, is responsible for strategic leadership and policy formulation. CHAIRMAN REV.DR. IMMANUEL ALPHA- CHIRST (INTERIM) has served since the establishment of the Organization as the interim chairman. He has for years used his positive guidance and directions to steer the affairs and the welfare of the association and to liberate stroke survivors from the stigma of stroke and supporting stroke awareness campaign in Ghana.

DR. BEN S. JABUNI He hails from the Upper-West Region of Ghana and received his secondary school education at Navrongo School before leaving to study at the University London in the UK, where he obtained BSc Hons., MSc and Doctorate degrees. Dr. Jabuni worked for several years in the UK National Health Service, both as a clinical practitioner and Director of Clinical Services. He joined the UK Stroke Association as UK Director of Services and, for 10 years, took a strong lead in planning and developing stroke services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland He has a huge track record in strategic development and management of stroke services and has supported countries such as Russia to develop and implement their own brand of stroke services. Dr. Jabuni says he will use his office as President and his extensive experience in strategic planning to plan and develop, with the support of all stakeholders, bespoke and comprehensive range of preventative and support services across all the ten regions of Ghana.Dr. Jabuni currently lives in London, UK where he works as Chief Executive Officer at Mind (Mind in Enfield), the Mental Health Association in England and Wales. DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
MR. AD ADAMS EBENEZER Ad Adams Ebenezer was born and grew up in Koforidua. He had his basic and primary education at the S.D.A.primary school, Koforidua. He had his secondary education at the Ghana secondary school at koforidua. He obtained a diploma in Pharmacy Technology from Penn Foster College at Pennsylvania in the U.S.A. He also has a physiotherapy certificate. He has worked for caregiver international Ghana, in the past where he provided support to people recovering from stroke. He is blessed with wisdom and skill in stroke care and prevention. He is also the Head of Communication and Planning for His Hands Health Support Service where he had for many years provided direction and leadership support for the welfare and growth of the company. He currently plays a leading position at the stroke awareness campaign by the Stroke Association Support Network – Ghana and direct in the programs and communications of the organization.
DIRECTOR OF FUNDRAISING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Joseph Anang is a Ga from the grater Accra Region. He was born and raised in Accra. He had his primary education at Cambridge Preparatory Academy, Dansoman-Accra. His secondary education at Koforidua Secondary Technical School at Koforidua with O’level certificate. He had his A’ level certificate at Oda Secondary School .He obtained a diploma in computer engineering from High Tech computers and also obtained NQVTI diploma certificate from City and Guides – Cambridge college in London. He again obtained a diploma certificate in both NVTI and ABC-WAEC in the year 2000. He is a programing language expect in C++ from All Nation University– Koforidua. He was the Assistance Manager of VBS Computer Services-Koforidua. He is also the financial chairman of Biakoye Fun Club at Okorase. He is the acting PTA chairman of High Mowing School at Okorase and he has chaired almost every department of his church including the Regional Event and Planning Committee and now he is the Eastern Reginal Administrator of The Resurrection Power and Living Bread Church International-Koforidua. He is the CEO of Amtech Computer Solutions. He is a Web Developer and currently plays a leading role at Stroke Association Supportnetwork-Ghana as the Director Of Fundraising And Business Development. He is the Administrator of SASNET-GH website.
DIRECTOR IN CHARGE OF MEDIA RELATIONS
Mr. Edmund Akwettey Narh –Ku Quaynor Holds MA in Journalism from Sofia University in Bulgaria 1989. He has long years of experience and occupies the following positions; Eastern Regional Manager of Ghana News Agency Media consultant to the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua. Media Relations Officer to the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church Member of the Constitutional, Legal and Media Committee of the Koforidua Diocess of the Methodist Church Eastern Regional Coordinator for the Institute of Democratic Governance (IDEG) Eastern Regional Coordinator for the Coalition on the Right to Information campaign. Chairman of the Koforidua Branch of the Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG) Secretary to the Greater Accra and Eastern Regional Branch of the Seed Producers Association of Ghana Member of the Eastern Regional AIDS Committee Former Chairman of the Eastern Regional Branch of the Ghana Journalists Association. Brong Ahafo Regional Coordinator
Mr.Samuel Koranteng Asare- Danso I was born on 30th April, 1985 at the Koforidua Regional Hospital in the Eastern Region. Currently, I started crèche Education at Queen Elizabeth daycare Centre and continued from seventh Day Adventist (S.D.A) School, Koforiua-Srodie where I completed basic primary and Junior High School. I completed Ghana Secondary School, Koforidua where I had my Secondary Education, after my secondary education, I was employed by Star Life Insurance company as a marketing and sales agent. I worked with this Company for 4 year (four) a part time worker. I enrolled into the Community Health Nursing Programme at Sunyani- Tanoso an wrote the Lincential Examination of Nurses and Midwifery Council Ghana, Passed all examination to become a Community Health Nurse Trained by Ministry of health Ghana. I was employed by the Ghana Health service a first appointment as a Community Health Nurses on 1t April, 2011. I work for 5 year and then my second appointment a Senior Community Health Nurse on 1t April, 2016. In my duties as a Community Health Nurse, I organize Health Education programmes on preventive measures of communicable and Communicable disease such tuberculosis, diabetes, hypertension, Malaria, Stroke and many more. I have been immunizing children from 0-5 years born against children Killer disease such as measles, yellow fever, tuberculosis, whooping cough, tetanus, pertuses, Meningitis A. In performing my duties, I became a Vaccinator and a supervisor on National Immunization Programmme for World Health Organization a Ghana Health Service on Oral polio, Measles and Yellow Fever vaccination at Sunyani, Kenyase Goamu. I was the disease surveillance Officer at my Community Goamu-Kenyase and I have been trained to offer Family Planning services to Community members to control Childbirth, Teenage Pregnancy and some sexually transmitted infections. Also I have managed two CHIPS compound stated at Goamu Koforidua CHIP Compound and Goamu-Atwedie CHIP Compound all located in Ahafo Kenyase, Brong Ahafo Region. I have been trained by Ghana AID Commission with Ghana Healthy Services collaborating on Prevention of Mother to Child transmission counseling and testing of HIV/AIDS. I have organized Community durbars and Voluntary screening of HIV and Hepatitis B. Currently; I hold the position of the Regional Coordinator in Brong Ahafo for Stroke Support Network
Ghana. National Stroke Survivors Ambassador
Ms. Eva Boakye Had her basic school education at the ayalolo primary school in the Greater Accra region and completed at Osiem Presbyterian middle school. She continued her studies at Akyem commercial college and graduated at the government secretariat institute with a certificate in secretariatship. She is currently the National Stroke Survivors Ambassador who is championing for the adoption and the implementation of the Global Stroke Bill of Rights and the prevention of stroke in the country.

Mr. Boateng is the Eastern Regional Chairman for Stroke Survivors. He is in charge of the welfare and the mouth piece of all the survivors in the Region.

Mr. Sedodo is the mouth piece of all stroke survivors in the Volta region and he champions the activities of survivors in the Volta region
